Fully Marinised Industrial PC Controller
After extensive market research we have found nothing that in our view would take the harsh marine environment found on the ocean, so we decided to develop our own. Johnson Control Explorer
The system works in conjunction with the Johnson Control Explorer facility. This controller is capable of withstanding large vibration shocks. |

Safety and Durability
All internal components are sealed with O-rings and the unit itself can be fully submerged in water. As with all JEC products, the outer casing is constructed of marine aluminium which is hard-anodised and sealed with dichromate, and the unit is sealed with O-rings. It has no fan and no hard disk, reducing the likelihood of failure due to dust and other pollutants. The heat is extracted from the unit by sophisticated casing construction and massive heat-sink in the outer casing. |

Connections and Ports
All connections to and from the PC are IP 68, including two standard USB ports and two RJ45. In addition to the two USB and two internet connections, an RS232 output is fully compatible with all modem connections. The unit also functions as a hub, so additional computers can be connected to the PC, or it can be connected to a local network without any network hub required.
An RS485 serial port is also installed. The unit provides for an external power supply with any of the following voltages: +3.3V/5A, +5V/2A, +12V/4A. This output is connected to a fully-fused junction box so an engineer can work on the system without the need for an additional power supply. The power supply to the PC is 12-40V DC as well as AC24V, fully polarity protected.

Remote Control and SMS Facilities
One of the special features of the system is the remote control of all refrigeration and air conditioning systems as well as monitoring of various alarms such as bilge pump, fire alarm and burglar alarms. Among the controllers of temperatures in freezers and air conditioning, it is able to transmit alarm data by SMS and warn the captain or the owner of the problem. Eg. 'Starboard Freezer temperature out of range', 'Air conditioning in saloon not operational', 'Bilge pump frequently turning on and off (possible water leakage)', 'Fire alarm activated'. |

Display
A major feature of the Combi Controller is its 8.4" toughened glass touch screen. The display is easy to use and understand, and provides all critical system information at a glance. The screen is the base for all control of the Combi System, and all specifications are set using the specially designed MicrosoftTM platform menu system.
The configuration of the computer is as follows: 1GB Processor, 1GB RAM, 4-64GB Flash Memory (depending on client requirements).
