Front Assembly The front assembly of the unit shows the latest off the shelf Sanden compressors, developed for use with 404A gas as well as all clutches and clutch coils including the clutch for the hydraulic motors. The gold-coloured tension pulley, (slightly off centre), can now be adjusted more easily using the long screw at the front of the unit. The electric 5kW continuous motor (8kW peak) can run the system when the vessel is stationary or at anchorage using the Genset or shore power. This brushless DC motor is capable of generating approximately 4kW of AC, single-phase, 50 Hz of power whilst the hydraulic motor is used under steam. This DC motor becomes a defacto cruising alternator. |

Monitoring sight glasses There are three sight glasses to monitor the return oil from the transport oil separators. Theses separators continuously feed the lubricating oil directly to the compressor crank case by a drip system. This can be observed during operation. |
